Living in Attica, Michigan

Attica is a township of about 4,700 people with no incorporated village at its center. What it has instead is land: working farmland, wooded parcels, and the kind of frontage that lets you put a pole barn up without a conversation with anyone.

That makes it a regular stop for buyers after acreage, hunting land or a hobby farm inside Lapeer County rather than further out in the Thumb. Housing is mostly farmhouses and custom builds on multi-acre parcels; there is very little that looks like a subdivision.

School district varies by parcel here — the township is touched by more than one — so confirm it for any specific address rather than assuming. M-53 runs north–south through the township, with the city of Lapeer about 10 minutes west and Imlay City south.
